We celebrate the centenary of the death of the modernist architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner. Visit the the Palau de la Música Catalana and the Sant Pau Modernist Site, at a reduced price, with the new combined ticket.
What will you see on this visit?
On the one hand, the Palau de la Música Catalana, an architectural pearl of Catalan modernism, which is currently an unavoidable meeting point for the cultural and social life of Catalonia, is articulated around a central metal structure covered with glass that, upon receiving natural light turns the most significant building in the work of Domènech i Montaner into a magical music box where all the applied arts are combined: sculpture, mosaic, glass and iron.
On the other hand, with a visit to the Sant Pau Modernist Site, you will enter the largest modernist complex in the world, made up of 12 pavilions surrounded by green spaces and connected by underground galleries. Let yourself be seduced by this old hospital complex, the spearhead of hygiene at the time with its rational and innovative design, and by the more than 16,000 square meters of garden that will transport you back in time.
How does the combined ticket work?
In the case of the Palau de la Música Catalana, visit it with an audio guide application downloadable on your mobile device with explanations, images, music, video and more (please, remember to bring your own headphones). As for the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site, it can be visited self-guided with the support of a map and with the help of the information staff that you will find in the different spaces.
